Inter “Play” Art Exhibition
Featuring artists from the Miller School of Art
November 10th - 26th

Featuring artists who study under renowned Seattle artist and guide, Mark Takamichi Miller, this exhibit centers around the idea of the interplay between life and art and individual and collective creativity to offer something unique, that, when combined, create a harmonious and powerful vision. This community of artists has grown together, while also exploring their own artistic pathways and using painting to build relationships. The artists included are Shawn Bachtler, Karyn Blasi Hellar (curator of the show), Melissa Kaufman, Liz Kennedy, Steven Lieu, and Dan Stroh.

Visitors to the exhibit will be invited to explore their own creativity and join in, creating a new piece that will evolve and reveal itself over the course of the exhibit. The interplay between these works creates a compelling environment that will leave viewers feeling inspired and alive.

The Miller School of Art founder is Mark Takamichi Miller. Mark has had over 20 solo exhibitions in the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and one at the University of California at Santa Cruz. His paintings have shown at the theTacoma Art Museum (WA), the Bellevue Art Museum (WA) and Davenport Museum (Iowa) among other venues. Prior to founding the Miller School of Art, he taught for over 25 years at universities throughout the country, including the University of Washington, Cornish College of the Arts, and the University of Oregon.
