The second annual Collage-O-Rama returns to Slip in May! A month-long celebration of the compulsion to cut and paste, Collage-O-Rama is a space where people make art and make friends, regardless of previous art exposure, at no charge with all supplies provided. Through the approachable art form of collage, visitors can take part in a positive, participatory art experience that also delivers a sense of belonging to a creative community.
The 2025 event encompasses nearly a dozen exhibits that include several collaborative projects, an installation of large-scale work, a digital collage presentation, a performance, and an artist residency.
Collage-O-Rama’s opening coincides with the Belltown Art Walk on Friday, May 9 and World Collage Day on Saturday the 10th. Collage artist and author @daniellekrysaart, aka @thejealouscurator, will kick off World Collage Day with an artist talk followed by an afternoon of collage activity. The month of creative festivity closes on June 7 with a collaborative collage gathering open to all.
Collage-O-Rama is organized by Andrea Lewicki, Seattle-area artist and founder of @specialagentcollagecollective. The event is possible thanks to in-kind partnerships with @northwestcollagesociety, @arizonacollagecollective, @pnwcollagecollective, @sharphandsgallery, @communityprintolympia, @exquisitecommunitycollage, @keep_writing_project, and the generosity of hundreds of artists from around the world. It is funded in part by Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods.
